He Clocks Out of a Factory and Into a Studio — Meet the Artist Behind swaGGerscan’s Theme

There’s a version of “making it” that looks like a tour bus. LiThBaNd’s version looks like a factory floor in Iowa, a shift that ends at the same time every day, and whatever’s left of the evening going straight into a song.

He’s not a full-time artist. He’s a full-time everything-else, first. Days on the line, music whenever life actually gives him room for it — which, if you’ve heard anything he’s released, is clearly more often than it sounds like it should be. Every song comes from something he’s actually lived. Not a persona, not a pitch. Just a guy who works with his hands all day and still finds a way to say something true by night.

That’s the version of an artist we wanted behind swaGGerscan.

When we built swaGGerscan’s launch moment — two astronauts, a sunflower field, one offering the other a flower with nothing more than that — it needed a song that already understood the assignment: something quiet and real, not a jingle. LiThBaNd’s track did exactly that. It’s now the theme running under ‘ScanDate’ (one of three swaGGerscan gaming features) every time someone opens it, start to finish.

He didn’t have to say yes to that. This is a working artist choosing to let a startup use his music before either of us had proven anything — the same way we’re all still proving it. That’s not a small thing, and it’s the whole reason he’s getting the spotlight here instead of just a credit line in fine print.
